A friend and I were discussing our plans for the upcoming summer holidays lately and he told me that he was dreading his summer vacation. Puzzled, I asked him why; was it the hot weather that he wasn’t looking forward to? He confided in me that he had been accumulating fat on his chest and that it was starting to be man boobs he saw in the mirror – not exactly how you want to look on the beach. I was a bit surprised. Now, my friend is not a slim man, but I really wouldn’t have guessed that he had man boobs. He was telling me that he had struggled with this his entire adult life. I started pondering what methods would be effective in getting rid of man boobs. Determined to help my friend look his best on the beach this summer, I started looking into how one would lose man boobs.

So what did I find out about how to lose man boobs?
First, I found out that there are different kinds of man boobs! This condition is actually called Gynecomastia; there are two different types of this condition. There is Gynomastia proper, which tends to be due to hormonal imbalance and usually happens during puberty. Then there is Pseudogynomastia, which is due to excess body fat.
Either type of Gynomastia can be remedied without invasive techniques like surgery. Knowing which sort of Gynomastia you happen to have is the way to begin, however as each type calls for a different approach. If you are any adult, then it is most likely Pseudogynomastia – and there are ways to lose man boobs which are caused by body fat.

Workouts to lose man boobs
It happens that exercise is one of the best ways of getting rid of man boobs, especially incline bench presses; these work to burn off this fat and build muscle in its place. Start easy and work your way up – you don’t want to lose your man boobs only to sit out your vacation due to an injury! Running is also a great exercise for getting rid of man boobs. Make your runs long enough to get your heart rate up but not more than 20 minutes or so – the idea is to get your body into an anaerobic state where it will start burning up anaerobic glycogen (stored sugars); this will help you to lose man boobs and other fat deposits.

Well, not every story has a happy ending, I’m afraid.
